Younger learn how AJUSA manages the waste

More than 300 Albacete students visit AJUSA to learn how to minimize the impact on the environment through waste management.

AJUSA participates in 2018 in a new edition of the Environmental Education Plan of the City of Albacete. The students visit AJUSA and learn how waste is managed in an industrial factory.

AJUSA generates 400 tons of non-dangerous waste and 15 tons of dangerous waste in a year. The environment department of the company manages this waste: it separates, stores and looks for an authorized company. The company is in charge of recycling the waste.

To learn and to educate

The Environmental Education Plan of the City of Albacete carries out actions aimed at promoting the relationship of society with its environment and ensures that new generations achieve a personal development more respectful of the environment.

In each edition, more than 300 students visit the factory AJUSA to know the management of waste that are generated in the different phases of production. Many students leave surprised about how important it is to respect the environment and how resources can be optimized.

Social Commitment

The quality of a company also measures up for its commitment to the environment. AJUSA has the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems certification and surrenders anually to exhaustive external audits to verify that it complies with the parameters of environmental quality that are monitored in the mentioned norm.

Until next June, various schools in Albacete will continue to visit our facilities to learn and become aware of the need to respect the environment for a more sustainable world. Visit our gallery of pictures.
